HLAE tracking

this is the position i want for it to track as the guy runs



i've read up on tracking in HLAE, tried everything but couldn't make it to work

any ideas?

i just can't seem to get it to work

perhaps it's because i'm using a POV demo on which i used the dem_forcehltv 1 command to get into free look mode

i have no clue

Not sure if you can "reverse" the tracking method. Afaik the tracking feature allows you to follow an object / model / whatever, just like a camera man. But you want the camera to be infront of the model? Not sure if you can make it like that :P

You could try campath, but then you would have to make a campath frame by frame probably ^^

was thinking of doing a campath as you said but realized it's too much hustle

if it can't be done with tracking i'll probably cut this scene entirely

i'm positive it can't be done as you want it. unless ofcourse you create campaths, which would require a lot of work i imagine.
