Firefox 3 has better code optimization than the previous version. I haven't installed it yet, but it's supposed to give better performance.

In every forum, in every country, and in every topic concerning either FF or Opera, there will be some lame comments about how one is better than the other. Ok so we see some people like Opera, that's not making me use it, that's not making me think "omg he's using opera, out a boy !". No, it's more like "IDC ABOUT YOUR SILLY OPINION AND I DLED FF3 TODAY IN ORDER NOT TO BE A PART OF THIS EVEN SILLIER WORLD RECORD"

if you read what i actually said, you would see i commented on the "oh well, back to IE" comment. Why go back to IE , when Opera is just as good (lets not start a opera vs ff discussion) as FF.

ya, let's not start such a discussion. both browsers have their advantages, as well as disadvantages and i'm actually using both browser. although i'm only using opera occasionally (love the widgets btw).

A test was done at www.lifehacker.com, and Opera was the fastest browser. The only thing about Opera, is that it uses more CPU power than eg. FF.

Will they stop supporting firefox 2 :?

If they don't stop fuck upgrading, I hate having a browser use up 60 mbs of memory... I guess getting the laptop just for web browsing was a good call :X
