| | | At the end of 2005 a guy called Mirvin_Monkey created a plugin for Half-life based game (such as Counterstrike, Team Fortress Classic, Day of Defeat, etc). This tool was originally made for "Team Fortress Classic" but works just as well with any other HL-mod.
The tool called Mirv Demo Tool has been existing underground and you have probably seen movies where it has been used. Remember that movie that had perfect masking, awesome cams or maybe really cool angles? Yepp you figured it out, they have probably all been made with this tool.
We have made video-guides for Mirv’s three prime functions:
- Tracking
- Matte Effects
- Zooming
These three simple yet fantastic functions will open up a new door to thousands of new effects and cams, but it’s up to you to figure them out!
One thing is certain though, CS (and other HL-based) movies will never look the same again.
Please note that it can be considered a cheat on some servers, therefore remove it before online playing!
Click on the Guide names for Download of the guides and the tool.
Some Anti-virus might give a warning on the file but as reported by us and other members; it's not infected. | |

I disabled real-time protection..but now when I run my virus scan at 3 AM it picks it up..i'll have to re-d/l it every time..can't he just make it so its not detected by norton?
It's REALLY great

amazing tool !
My doesnt work, Crap!
Couple months ago when the CG shader first started getting publicity I did some digging and found the author's site. The trojan is explicitly why I didn't post it at csflicks.
Now it may be completely harmless. But it is technically a cheat, and almost all cheats come with trojans/backdoors, and this one's no exception.
So unless you've actually disassembled it and verified it, I'd remove the message that it isn't infected, because it is, otherwise it wouldn't get flagged as such.
when using the matte effects you can't use motion blur because you get a color outline around the player?
(mirv_movie_splitstreams 2)
here's an example

The only anti-virus who has flagged it so far afaik is Norton, and norton is shit tbh. I've got nod32 with latest updates and it has never complained, I even re-downloaded it and it still didn't say anthing.
And nod32 afaik counts as one of the best (if not the best) personal anti-virus softwares out there.
But if you know something I don't, feel free to PM me.
#82 how do i do that :X?

Try rendering it uncompressed first, then re-add it as one layer and add motion blur.
No, I just like to err on the side of caution. I don't use Norton either, but I do use Symantec's online scanner. Same difference, really.
But if it's flagged the file for the backdoor.mosuck trojan, there has to be a reason.
Now Norton as a program is a resource hogging pile of beetle dung, but its detections and definitions are usually pretty accurate.
sigh... how do i get it to work on my non-steam cs ? any particular file(s) i have to copy from the steam version ? (PS - I dont have steam version on my PC)

I didn't work for me either, guess you have to either mail the author about it or buy a CD-key.

When I use Chroma Keyer in Vegas to remove the Green stuff from matte effects, the AWP gets kinda "transparent" =(
Use another color then, red or blue.
Yeah but I'm just unsure of what else would get transparent then ;P
But i guess I don't reallly have a choice xD
ok i had mailed the author of this tool about it working for non-steam cs. and he replied saying that it won't work in non-steam cs. if it is to work wid non-steam, he will have to re-write the tool then. and he's too busy to do that. so buy a steam id! :)

4:05 in SK Believe was one of the best HLTV shots i've ever seen, but knowing it was just done with a program kind of lessens it now...
oh well, i suppose it's good for the community :X
i don't understand how launch this program :((
Run .exe
Run CS

а по русски ? не судьба=))
Just a heads up to all those who dont know, the first movie that used that tool was a TFC one...
http://www.ozfortress.com/media/videos/540?t=19148
I started pestering Mirv a while before i started making it to see what he could do... so he sent me some early matte/aimbot tools and then every so often he'd totally excel himself adding loads of other stuff to the tool.
Kinda gutted that TFC doesnt get the recognition it deserves.
Style hardly kept it to themselves either, its been on that website since the release of the ECTFC movie :3
