Lollipops 2 coming out soon!

For once a CS movie I'm actually looking forward to, and there isn't many of those around these days. We are in an age of spam, with probably more movies around than in the "golden days" of CS movies, but with shit quality. There are exception of course; I'm sure you can think of a few. "Lollipops 2" by Oui will hopefully be one of them.

"Lollipops" released back in 2009 was a great movie. It was pure fun and with effects that were simple and entertaining, without pimping the movie full of shit. A fun movie full of bloopers, luck and silly things; what's not to like?

"Lollipops 2" is due for release this December 13th. Oui was recently interviewed by Planet-Videos, and he has also released a short sneak preview you can watch. If you are really interested in thing like Oui's religion and favorite food, read the whole article, but I'm going to give you a summary with some of my own thoughts:

Oui - what do we know?
Right, Bart "Oui" Otlowski is Polish LOL. If you happen to have lived in a bubble all your life it might also surprise you that his nickname means "Yes" in French, and if you have trouble pronouncing it just take Oui's advice and "watch a French porn movie". Bart (I so calling you Bart from now on) is a third year movie student focusing on editing, animation and photography.

Oui's and how he works
Bart says that "Lollipops 2" will be his last CS movie. That's a shame, but at least he knows it’s the last. Personally I can't listen to a rock song without imagining a movie with it. "Lollipops 2" will have a similar style to the first movie, so look forward to it. I know I am.

The interviewer (Napalm) apparently gets his motivation through drugs, porn and WW2 like "all the other Germans". Sounds about right. I would ask Niklas, but I'm sure he'd agree. Bart of course isn't German, he's POLISH LOL, so he gets inspiration the normal way for Polish: He eats hallucinogenic potatoes!
No seriously, the question "how do you get motivation" appears so often in interviews. Let me ask all of you something right now: When you listen to music do you imagine a movie while watching it? It doesn't have to be CS, it can be anything. Your own movie, your own scenes, your own fantasy, matching and syncing with the song as it is played, as if it was a music video you made in your head? If the answer is yes then you are a true moviemaker!

Bart is one of the few people in the world who can take breaks from a CS movie and he will probably be put in the encyclopaedia for just this reason. "Sometimes for a year" he even says! Obviously he could never join Style as we have a contract of minimum 3 cancellations per member. Personally if I stop working on a movie I have a very hard time continuing. This happens especially if the movie is NEARLY done, then I just can't finish the last bit. I'm sure we've all been there………eh, Tony?!

How to best impress girls with CS movies
Oui claims he has never tried to impress a girl with his CS movies. To everyone reading this, here is a guide on how to do it:
1) Tell her you work with movies, because this sounds sexy and pro.
2) Tell her you know Jasper or Anthony. At this point don't be surprised at sudden wet floors.
3) Inform the girl that your movies involve international teams that compete worldwide for lots of money. Don't forget to mention the players are professionals. If you haven't made any such movies, then the line "My movies are sausage fests of noobs who digitally shoot people" also works.
4) Now say the line "Hey baby, what do you say we do a little CS 101 and go on a MindTrek back to my place? We'll eat some Candy while watching The Pink Panther, and then we HUSH and get to bed for the rest of the EVEning…NiceOne, eh giggity?!"

Works every time.

Random shit
If you read the interview you will realise that there are only a few actual questions followed by a gazillion weird questions about personal stuff. To save you some time here is the important ones:
- Oui uses Adobe Premiere (High five!). He likes the "Superplayers" movies, and shockingly his favorite movie website is NOT Style-Productions. That cost him an SPMA right there! More importantly he uses blue shampoo, likes to cook, and he's got green fingers (that mean he likes plants, not that he's the Hulk - the Hulk isn't Polish, you know!).

Summa summarum
Those with some perception might realise that reading this article probably took you longer than reading the actual interview. Well, it wouldn't be a ranting Style article if you didn't. Sorry the hasn't been news much lately. The sad truth is that we are growing up and there is less time to post news and make movies, but now because we don't want to. But, we are still here and we'll never stop, so news there will always be for our 17.500 members - even if there is a big interval between them.
