Judging Process
We'd like to stress the focus of this competition. Creativity while establishing atmosphere in your movie will earn you a huge amount of points during the judging process. Overediting your submission will not win you this competition. We are looking for movies with the most balance between effects, tempo, atmosphere, and creativity.
Every submission will be reviewed by the Style-Productions crew and our guest judge, ripieces. Each judge will compile a Top 5 list in which points ranging from 2 to 6 will be distributed accordingly. Furthermore, each judge will have an additional 3 bonus points which they can use to award any movie that portrays a unique feature or aspect that they enjoyed. After the points are tallied, the top 3 movies will be awarded their respective prizes.
Winner announcement: December, 2014

I assume you also want an actual download link rather than just streaming. Where to upload 100-200 MB files these days?
Well the rules don't state anything about that, one would have to ask anthony, but currently Streaming versions would be allowed too I think.

Really? So my vid would get disqualified for scaling down the logo by say 25-50%? Or even animating it slightly? So the logo have to be in its original size for 3 seconds? Then I think I need to re-render my whole movie... :/

already told you, but your questions are lacking simple thinking Dec. Use your common sense. we explained in the rules that you're allowed to edit it and obviously scaling it to a smaller or larger size is no way in violation of the guidelines...

He is thinking like a programmer. I see the same issue as him with the rules :P
Im sorry, but its quite absurd to have to write 100 "if this, then this" scenarios for people who can't make inferences.
How do you interpret "However, it must appear in its default position for at least 3 seconds"? :P
Hm, that would affirm Dec's concern.
I guess what you are wanting to say is that there is an acceptable gray area between what is allowed as default position and what is not :P

how does that affirm Dec's concern? if anything, it disproves it. the logo is clearly scaled in the screenshot. Additionally, the rules state he can animate it and/or edit it.
You may edit the logo to fit your movies theme and animate it however you want, but for 3 seconds the text and the cogs needs to be in their default spots, like it was designed.
An example of what we mean is one of the logos in Awoken Eyes. http://youtu.be/ii9rMOka5KM?t=4m52s At 4:53 the animation starts with the different parts of the logo animated seperately. At 5:00 all the parts are in their default position and stay there for a short period of time, then it animates again.

So simply scaling the whole image down (or up) won't affect its default position. Got it. That was my main concern.
Exactly, that won't be a problem.
Any entries so far??
I would like to have contact of any admin of this contest, please :D
There are quite a few entries so far yes, #16.
And can anyone watch them?
Only the admins can see the full list of participants, but you can choose to release your movie to the public before the competition ends. Most participants have done that. It's not against the rules.
You have to be logged on to write a comment.

Meaning you can upload it on YouTube once you finished it for example and do not need to wait until the contest is over.
(Of course you still have to submit it on the page as described above in order to enter ;)
